In the process of switching my website theme out to a new one, I basically lost all of my past blog posts. OK, maybe it wasn’t as dramatic as that. Technically I could retrieve them but it would be an entirely manual process. Instead of burning all my time trying to copy and paste everything just so you could have a glimpse of my past, I decided to start over from scratch with a new post. This is that post. It explains the situation and gives my blog a fresh start.
That’s the challenge with using WordPress and third-party theme developers. Sometimes those third parties use proprietary formatting that holds your content in sections that don’t remain visible when you change to a different third party’s theme. I know, more than you care or need to know but that’s the gist. Lesson learned.
It’s OK. If you want to learn more about moi, simply click around the various sections of this site for my past work, accomplishments, and whatnot. Keep an eye on the blog, a.k.a. What’s New, because future adventures will be posted there.
This site, like me, is a constant work in progress. I’m still tidying up, formatting and re-formatting things, learning the inner workings of the theme, and laying things out. It’s not quite where I want it to be yet but it’s close. So, excuse the mess, watch your step, and sit a spell. This is only the (new) beginning.
Thanks for dropping by.
Note: The photo associated with this post has nothing to do with anything. It’s a photo I took while on Oahu when I was shooting my scenes for the show Hawaii Five-0. I just happen to like this photo very much and every post needs a photo or else it defaults to some ugly placeholder image. See? There should be a way to turn that off in this theme but there isn’t. I’d have to go code-diving and right now, ain’t nobody got time for that. Dammit, Jim, I’m an actor, not a coder. (Not exactly true, but…)
